AUTISM SERVICE VACANCIES:

 

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (BAND 6 - FULL TIME PERMANENT VACANCY)

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join an award winning social enterprise providing a range of assessments, interventions and follow-on support services to children with Autism and their families across the South Staffordshire area. We also provide training programmes to children with Autism, parents and to professionals who support them.

Your main duties would include being responsible for completing Occupational Therapy assessments for children that are referred to the autism service and to contribute to liaison, consultation, training and advisory activities and to the ongoing development of the service by undertaking research and audit activities.

You may provide supervision to other members of the team as appropriate and consult with other professionals within your own team.

As we are a community service, this post will involve some travelling, therefore, it is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a car.

All applicants are required to have a relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy and you are also required to have HCPC registration.

 

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance and two satisfactory references.

SPECIALIST SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated experienced Speech and Language Therapist to work within the Autism Team. The post holder will have 3-5 years’ experience and be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills of working with children and young people ages 0-18 years whose communicative presentation is associated with an autism spectrum condition (ASC).

 

The post holder will work as an autonomous professional within the multi-disciplinary team of professionals delivering assessment and intervention supports within the South Staffordshire area. Due to the nature of this role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently and have access to a suitable vehicle for this purpose.

Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist and registration with the Health and Social Care Professions Council (HCPC) is essential.

SUPPORTED LIVING VACANCIES:

 

SUPPORT WORKER
STONE/ STAFFORD - £7.82 PER HOUR

 

Permanent, full, part-time and bank positions available. £7.82 per hour (plus £7.50 per hour for "sleep in" duties)

 

Midlands Psychology is looking for dedicated and caring Support Workers to join our Supported Living Service based in Stafford. This is a person centred project that Midlands Psychology has set up. We are keen to hear from enthusiastic people who are looking to help make a difference.

 

You will be responsible for providing support and care to adults with learning difficulties and/or autism and supporting them to develop their independent living skills and, where appropriate, support their transition to their own accommodation. You will be enabling them to achieve an appropriate level of independence within a supported living environment and participate in a full, meaningful and active life.

 

Team members all need to work flexible shift patterns to provide 24 hour 7 day support where this is necessary. This will involve “sleep in” duties.

 

Duties will include participating in the day to day support of all aspects of daily living including household tasks, personal care, independent living skills, hobbies and interests, social arrangements, paid and voluntary employment and further education as directed by support plans.

 

A positive, respectful and inspirational approach towards people with learning disabilities is essential for this post following our ethos of active support.

 

You will be working within an experienced and qualified team who will be providing support to staff as required.
