An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join an award winning social enterprise providing a range of assessments, interventions and follow-on support services to children with Autism and their families across the South Staffordshire area. We also provide training programmes to children with Autism, parents and to professionals who support them.

Your main duties would include being responsible for completing Occupational Therapy assessments for children that are referred to the autism service and to contribute to liaison, consultation, training and advisory activities and to the ongoing development of the service by undertaking research and audit activities.

You may provide supervision to other members of the team as appropriate and consult with other professionals within your own team.

As we are a community service, this post will involve some travelling, therefore, it is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a car.

All applicants are required to have a relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy and you are also required to have HCPC registration.

The successful applicant will be joining the Ten-19 team; an enthusiastic and supportive forensic team, delivering a range of psychological assessments and low intensity psychological interventions to young people (and their families) who live in Staffordshire and are involved with the Youth Offending Service.  The post-holder will be based at our Stafford office, The Hayes, 19 Newport Road, Stafford, ST16 1BA and will co-locate throughout the week in a Youth Offending Team office in Staffordshire.  The service is an outreach service, so you will also work in various community bases.


This is a part time post based on 3 days per week (22.5 hours per week) and working days are to be agreed with the successful candidate. The service operates Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm with an out of hours phone also being operated on a rota basis. This is a permanent contract.   


Please note – it is essential that applicants have a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle. A Bachelors degree in Psychology, Masters/Doctorate and/or postgraduate qualification in Psychologist is essential.  Applicants should also have a minimum of 12 months previous work experience in an applied Psychology role; having worked therapeutically with children, young people, adults and/or families.

Midlands Psychology is looking for dedicated and caring Support Workers to join our Supported Living Service based in Stafford. This is a person centred project that Midlands Psychology has set up. We are keen to hear from enthusiastic people who are looking to help make a difference.


You will be responsible for providing support and care to adults with learning difficulties and/or autism and supporting them to develop their independent living skills and, where appropriate, support their transition to their own accommodation. You will be enabling them to achieve an appropriate level of independence within a supported living environment and participate in a full, meaningful and active life.


Team members all need to work flexible shift patterns to provide 24 hour 7 day support where this is necessary. This will involve “sleep in” duties.


Duties will include participating in the day to day support of all aspects of daily living including household tasks, personal care, independent living skills, hobbies and interests, social arrangements, paid and voluntary employment and further education as directed by support plans.


A positive, respectful and inspirational approach towards people with learning disabilities is essential for this post following our ethos of active support.


You will be working within an experienced and qualified team who will be providing support to staff as required.
