Support Worker
Midlands Psychology CIC - Stone

 

Midlands Psychology is looking to recruit dedicated and caring support workers to join our supported living service based in Stone.  We are keen to hear from enthusiastic people who are looking to help make a difference.

You will be required to work flexible shift patterns to provide care all around the clock care.

Your role will be to provide support and care to adults with learning difficulties and/or autism in their own home, in line with their person centred plan.  A positive, respectful and inspirational approach towards people with learning disabilities is essential for this post following our ethos of active support.

As part of the Honorary Assistant Psychologist role you would be gaining experience in completing school observations in line with Clinician’s requests as part of an autism assessment for a child, would be trained on completing appropriate psychometric tests and organising groups for children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition.

 

As part of this role there is also the opportunity to gain paid work experience supporting four young adults in a Supported Living environment.

Specialist Speech and Language Therapist – Band 5/6

(£22,128 - £27,635 per annum depending on experience & qualifications)

Full time, permanent post (37.5 hours per week)

 

Midlands Psychology is a well-established, not-for-profit Social Enterprise commissioned by the NHS to provide autism services for children (0-18 years) in South Staffordshire.

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated experienced Speech and Language Therapist to work within our award-winning Autism Team. The post holder will have a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience and be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to working with children and young people whose communicative presentation is associated with an Autism Spectrum Condition. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is keen to develop their skills further in this fascinating and important area of work.

 

The post holder will be a member of a specialist multi-disciplinary team which delivers assessment and post-diagnostic support within the South Staffordshire area. Experience of working with children who have autism would be advantageous.

 

Due to the nature of this role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently and have access to a suitable vehicle for this purpose.

 

Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is essential.
